Horsin' Around The World with Darley Newman
quebec2
Dany Garant of Ranch Massif du Sud and me riding in the Appalachain Mountains in Quebec for the Equitrekking Quebec City and Beyond episode. We rode to a spot along a creek where we panned for gold, and I actually found some!

If you can't see the world on horseback yourself, what better way to do it than by sharing the experiences of travel expert, author and adventurer Darley Newman. Darley is the host and producer of "the first travel television series to explore the globe on horseback."

Equitrekking is broadcast on PBS, CREATE and various other international networks. The show features destinations through the world as seen from a horse, while experiencing the local history and cultures.

Darley's Canadian adventures have included two television features: Equitrekking Southern Quebec and Equitrekking Quebec City & Beyond.

"I really enjoyed both because I feel like we picked two really idyllic times, scenery and weather wise, to film in Quebec. With the snow, we timed it right so that trails were good for riding. There's nothing quite like the crisp air and the invigoration of riding in the snow. I love it.," says Darley.

Darley's interest in seeing the world started after studying in Spain and Italy, coupling her education in television production with her love of horses for the informative TV Series, her blog, and book - Equitrekking: Travel Adventures on Horse Back.

Equitrekking.com provides details of each of the episodes, where to find the broadcasts, feature destinations and much more. Be sure to visit the site, learn more about Darley and her adventures www.equitrekking.com

Darley learning to drive a horse drawn sleigh in the Eastern Townships. We were filming for the Equitrekking: Southern Quebec episode and suddenly it really started to snow, so we had to stop because our camera kept getting wet. Jacques Robidas is teaching me to drive and Greg, our cinematographer is sitting in the back.
