color bonanza coke"Color Bonanza Coke" 1988 - 2010

We lost our beloved horse "Coke" to colic on Dec. 21, 2010. He was born in Port Colborne, Ont. where we purchased him from Mike Hockley. After spending 14 yrs. @ Fred & Vera Walters' stable in Niagara Falls, Ont. he made the trip to be with us in Prince Edward Is., where we built a barn & paddock just for him to enjoy. We miss his gentle nicker every morning.

Charlie Horse
Charlie Horse

Charlie Horse - January 1st 2011, was a sad day for Breck Foerstner of HorseWorld Emporium. His 34 year old pony, Charlie Horse passed suddenly. Charlie Horse was a character! Always into the feed bin or moving from the paddock to the yard. He's even been known to step foot in the kitchen of the house on occasion. And if he can't get in the house, at least be found peering through the window to see what's going on. Breck enjoyed many a good trail with Charlie Horse. He will be missed.

Fortunatu Xavier Buttigieg ~ Nov 6, 1943 - Nov 2, 2010

Rode off into the sunrise... Aaron Buttigieg

Forte Buttigieg will be missed!
As many of you know Forte Buttigieg passed away on November 2nd. The saddle clubs will not be the same without him. He made you laugh with his antics at the shows. He pushed you to do more. He encouraged a little more competition, but most of all he encouraged FUN!  Please read on for how, Forte has encouraged the riding of Amber Wiley-Gilbert and her family:

If you have ever been involved with the Port Colborne Saddle Club Inc or the Bertie Willoughby Saddle Club Inc than you would now Forte Buttigieg, you were very fortunate to have known him.  Forte had been involved with these two local clubs for many years and was one of the funding members of Port Colborne Saddle Club Inc, it was there at Port Colborne Saddle Club I meet Forte, I was a youth rider at the time and was riding Games classes, and was so nervous , it was then that Forte said to me just go in there and have fun, and ever since then I was hooked on games, after retiring my games horse I purchased a pleasure horse and was only going in a few classes and again Forte convinced me to try something new and to go in the Western Trail class , I did and I loved it, if it had not been Forte  I would not have been up to trying it, I know enjoy going for trial rides when ever I get the chance, Thanks Forte !

Forte was also great with the little kids, I recall a time when my niece was showing her pony in the showmanship class and her pony at the time was so pushy with her, the pony stepped on her and took her boot off, my niece was so upset she just started to cry right away Forte was there and helped my niece out with the pony and to get her boot back on and then discipline that bad little pony.

Forte was always there to help get the grounds ready, sometimes we thought that he lived at the show grounds but he loved every minute of it.

I am sure that I speak for many people when I say Forte We are going to miss you, and thank you for also encouraging me to try new things .
